Success with Dentures

Complete removable dentures are what most of us think of when we say "dentures". This describes a full plate of teeth to replace all the teeth in your upper or lower jaw, or both. Suction holds upper dentures in place, while lower dentures simply rest on the ridge of your lower jawbone and are held in place by your cheeks and tongue. Both upper and lower dentures do move around, but most people get used to this quickly.

For both experienced and new denture patients, comfort is of prime importance. One solution is a soft liner, like the one pictured to the right. This type of liner can make your denture more comfortable, but it is not as durable as a hard liner, and will need to be replaced more often.
